The PHILADELPHIA GIRLS’ ROWING CLUB is the popular name of our nonprofit corporation duly chartered under the laws of Pennsylvania for the sport of rowing, situated at 14 Boat House Row, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19130.

The principal purposes of this organization are to promote, stimulate, and support among women an interest in amateur rowing and other forms of athletics which are supplementary to this support.

The club was organized by seventeen women in 1938. 

Women applying for membership to this Club shall be 15 years of age or older. 

The Philadelphia Girls’ Rowing Club hosts the Bill Braxton Memorial Regatta held in November of each year.

The Philadelphia Girls’ Rowing Club is home to the Agnes Irwin Day School for Girls rowing program.
